Economic Development

Education

Equality

  • The only way to build Florida’s economy of the future is to grow the economy from the middle class, not from the top down.

  • As your next state representative, I'll work hard to protect middle class families by fighting for a liveable minimum wage, ensuring equal pay, and investing in public education.

Expanded Access to Health Care

  • A good education means good jobs and a secure place in the middle class for millions of Floridians. Which is why if elected, I'm committed to ensuring that 100% of public funds serve our public schools, not private, for-profit schools, so that our children can receive a quality education.

  • If elected, I'd fight to restore cuts to the Bright Futures scholarship program, so we can help Florida’s best students attend college.

  • As a single mother, I know that every penny counts, which is why I believe in passing a women’s equal pay act in Florida. It is 2014, women shouldn't make 77 cents for every $1 a man makes.

Environment

  • I've spent the last 25 years working in the healthcare industry and all I can say is that the people of Florida are not reaping the benefits of a system we paid into because of petty politics. We need to accept the $50 billion in federal funds so we can expand access to healthcare for all Floridians.

  • Florida has been blessed with astounding natural beauty and resources. Protecting our state's environment and ensuring clean air and water will be some of my top priorities.

  • People from all over the world travel to Florida to enjoy our beaches and marvel at the biodiversity of the Everglades and our wetlands. These resources aren't only beautiful, they're a source of jobs and economic growth for our state.
